VCT Pacific: Format

All the international leagues in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) integrate the same format for Stage 1 and Stage 2, each featuring 11 teams. After winning Ascension in December 2023, one new team joins the already franchised squads, all put together by Riot Games.

Stages 1 and 2 are divided by international events called Masters. This year, VCT Masters were hosted in Madrid and Shanghai. Sentinels won in Madrid, while Gen.G Esports snagged the dub in Shanghai.

Group Stage (June 15 - July 8)

The 11 teams are divided into two groups: Alpha and Omega. The former has five teams, while the latter has six. All matches are Bo3. Regardless of their group, the top six teams qualify for the VCT Pacific Playoffs based on their overall scores from Stages 1 and 2.

Playoffs (July 12 - July 21)

The playoffs will feature a hybrid-elimination format, where six teams compete. The initial Knockout Round is single-elimination, while the Upper Bracket Semifinals onwards are double-elimination. 

All matches, excluding the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final, are Bo3. The Grand Final and Lower Bracket Final are both Bo5.

There’s no prize pool for VCT Pacific as the teams compete to earn valuable regional circuit points. The best teams with the most circuit points get an automatic invite to VCT Champions 2024 in Seoul.
